East London Chorus Carol Book

Volume 1 of the East London Chorus Carol Books is now available to purchase, links below. Some of the carols have new arrangements by a good friend of the choir, David Threasher MA BMus, and he has graciously allowed his arrangements to be used free of charge. We would be interested in knowing if you are using our book, so please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

There will also be a CD available in the autumn containing music from the carol book.

Our first customer, Ms Aldritch from the US, had this to say about the East London Chorus Carol Book:

"I just got my copy of the East London Chorus Carol Book- what a delightful collection! Well laid-out, interesting and well-written information, and lovely songs. I can't wait to get some friends to sing them with me (my SATB singing being a bit rusty...)! Congratulations!

Welcome to the New Look East London Chorus Website!

Welcome to the East London Chorus website, newly revamped by our Webmaster, Richard, to whom we give our thanks.

We have had a busy year which included carols at the Ritz Hotel, sublime concert music, a change in leadership and culminated in Elgar’s “The Dream of Gerontius”  - a joint effort with Harlow Chorus at Chelmsford Cathedral in early July. It was a wonderful evening; the excitement of performing with a large orchestra again, three fabulous soloists and the singers of Harlow Chorus is something that we can look back on with pleasure and pride.

Our anniversary season begins with rehearsals in September for a concert of  Monteverdi, Purcell, Buxtehude and Vivaldi, to be held in St Paul’s, Covent Garden on October 15th. Since its beginnings in 1971, the  North East London Polytechnic Choir and its later incarnation as East London Chorus has striven to produce professional concerts of the best choral music available. We hope this will continue for another 40 years and we look forward to your continued support either as chorus member, committee member or audience member. Thank you.

Deputy Chair
