Saturday 15th October heralded the East London Chorus 40th Anniversary season with an amazing concert of Monteverdi, Buxtehude, Schutz and the Vivaldi “Gloria”, a thoughtful and emotive interpretation breathing freshness into an old favourite.
The 2011-12 season continues with a December programme of excerpts from the Saint-Saëns “Oratorio de Noël” and new arrangements of old carols written especially for East London Chorus by David Threasher and our Musical Director, Alexander Chaplin. In March we will perform Karl Jenkins’ “The Armed Man” and in July we embrace the Royal Jubilee with a performance of Coronation pieces including Mozart's Mass in C Major and Handel’s “Coronation Anthems” and we look forward to welcoming you to these concerts.
As always, the chorus is happy to provide singers for your event, for more details please visit the Hire Us page. We still have a few dates in December when we are available for carol singing!
