Programme
The music of Schutz and Pergolesi provides a sumptuous and beautifully melodic backdrop to this concert which anticipates Passiontide and Easter, along with some glorious J S Bach played on the magnificent organ at St Mary's Woodford. By contrast, the music of the contemporary Estonian composer Arvo Part offers an atmosphere of simple humility and devotion with which to close our eyes and reflect.
