The 10km route starts at the National Theatre on the South Bank of the River Thames and heads off, past the magnificent London Eye and over Westminster Bridge to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.  Walkers take in the scenic views of St. James’ Park towards Buckingham Palace and head back along The Mall into Trafalgar Square for a quick look at Nelson’s Column before strolling down theEmbankment, past Cleopatra’s Needle obelisk and the half way point (well nearly).  Then along the river towards the impressive dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Inspired by Sir Christopher Wren, the walkers will stride out over the wobbly” Millennium Bridge across to the imposing Tate Modern art gallery.  Continuing on the south side of the River, the route takes people by Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, as well as HMS Belfast, the World War II battleship moored at London Bridge .  At Tower Bridge , the dedicated walkers will get the chance to look back over their route and once at The Tower of London the walk is over and the tired fundraisers get the chance to have a much deserved rest and tuck into some food and drink at one of the fine establishments
